Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

What I personally find the hardest to draw is feet and hands. I found that with a lot of practice and a lot of frustrating mistakes my feet and hands actually look at the very least almost the way i want them to be.
Now my favorite Style of drawing is Anime or sometimes semi-realism, and i find that by doing studies of the more traditional style realism actually helps improve my anime pictures greatly. For instance i would practice drawing my hands and feet in different positions holding different things and from different angles. I also find it extremely helpful while i'm drawing and i'm having a particularly hard time drawing a hand or a foot in a certain position i will stop for a

Thought I would post about recent art-related updates to my life.

First of all, I'm going to the San Diego Comicon in July! I look forward to it with excitement and terror. It'll only be my second convention, and the previous on was a tiny convention in Toronto, so ... I hope I won't get trampled on. I'm sure I'll be doing some signings at the SLG Publishing booth, so if you're going, drop me a line. I'll post more info when it gets closer to the con.

Second, I won a Joe Shuster Award! It's tremendously exciting to be honoured, and to be considered a peer amongst my fellow Canadian cartoonists. Winning the award was hugely shocking (and very unexpected), but hugely welcomed, too. It's wonderful to receive such validation.

I'm hard at work on my second graphic novel for SLG Publishing, The War at Ellsmere. We'll be handing out preview ashcans for it at San Diego, so be sure to drop by the SLG booth and grab one. The book is about a poor-but-smart girl who wins a scholarship to a prestigious boarding school and the intrigue, friendships and danger she experiences there.

I have tons of other stuff going on too, stuff I can't talk about yet. It's terrifying and exciting, and all I can think to do is work as hard as I can, and try and build my reputation as a comic artist. Honestly, I never thought this would happen, and now that is is... it's scary! Wonderful and exciting, but scary!
