Honestly, this is more inspired by Stephen King's Dark Tower series than anything Clint Eastwood. I'm not overly keen on Westerns themselves, but I do really enjoy the genre-skewing stuff, like the Dark Tower series. Well, except when it got all nutty and self-insert-y. I kind of think the series wouldn't have ended up where it did if King hadn't had that accident...
