I did this a while ago, to submit to a publisher. I never heard back, but you never know till you try. The pitch was called Afterlife Inc (a working title), and you can see the rest of it, all ten pages, right here: [link]

It's a weird, Bryan Fuller-esque story about a young woman working in a pretty boring office job, and her weird office-mates. Only thing is, she's kind of dead, and the office is a sorting house for various dead people. And then wacky hijinks ensue.

I'm currently working on my next graphic nove for SLG Publishing, and I have more things lined up after that, so I've no idea when I'll get back to this story. But I thought you might like to see.

I know you're swamped with work (and good for you!), but I really enjoy seeing your side projects. This little preview gave me a good idea of the characters.

The hole in Dead-Kid's chest makes for some pretty interesting framing opportunities.

I LOVE IT! *glee* This is exactly the sort of macabre humour that I just adore. LOL I'll have to show this to my husband, he'll get such a kick out of it. Actually, it really does have a similar plot idea to Dead Like Me in some ways.....but there's more than enough different to be unique and neat! :love:

very enjoyable. Interesting idea. I love it when fantastical elements are blended with the most mundane of things, ie office work.
